Cons: I like everything, however, I feel that sound tests could be generated BEFORE producing the final audio, without consuming many tokens. We can now build further AI agents without any problems. We really appreciate the platform overall and look forward to continuing to use it.

There are dozens of voice engines can be chosen and the generation quality is really good! It has a beginner subscription option for light use. My experience with ELEVEN LABS IS AWESOME.Its user friendly for beginners. Pros: Ease of Use and different accents in different languages. Cons: They should introduce new voice overs. These voices are now very much familiar because most of the content creators are using them.

Excellent service. There was an issue with displaying Cyrillic text in the subtitles, but support resolved the problem quickly. All the advertised features work. This service is one of the best. As for potential downsides, the price per credit is a bit high, but it’s in line with the market average, so I’m not listing it as a real downside.

I need to still manually redo some parts, but overall I would recommend it, it's what I'm looking for Pros: The human nature of speech is the most important thing by far. And it meets that expectation Cons: It's speech is still off about 1 every 10 sentences. And I have to redo it to get it right

Huge Voice Library and Multilingual Reach, With Room to Improve

Pros: What I like about Elevenlabs is its large library of voices suitable for every use case, such as voices for narration, games, comedy, etc. Also, its diversity of languages that give you the option to reach international audiences. Cons: They have limited parameters to control how the final voice and its emotions should be and you can't switch between emotions in the same paragraph, you just can control the pitch and stability.

Sign in confusing

The sign in process via Google/MFA needs better guidance, but the app and functionality are great.

Texts to audio and translation are very useful, but voice cloning is concerning.

Pros: For me, the most useful thing would be to convert texts into audio with AI, as it makes them sound very good and fluid. It also allows translating audio from videos, which is very useful. Cons: Voice cloning with AI worries me, as it can lead to things like scams, extortions, and other not very legal activities with just a small piece of audio. Even so, if used optimally and responsibly, it can be a good tool.

Easy Voiceovers and a Great Trial, but Misprocessing Can Waste Credits

Pros: With Elevenlabs I can make voice overs easily, narrate videos or add voice lines to songs easily by writing in what I want it to say. The free trial is great and let me see the platform and what it can do Cons: Processing something wrong and not what I wanted it to say is a waste of credits, and the variety for free trial is pretty small

Starter tier subscription purchased. Found out that voice cloning is no good in this tier. Prompted to upgrade to creator tier for "proper" voice cloning. Sneaky way to take my money. I want to cancel immediately and get my money back. Update: I did also send the email alongside this review. Waiting to hear back. Updating review to 3*. 1* was my immediate reaction out of frustration from feeling cheated.

Downloads aren't starting on app anymore. (Google Pixel) I get a downloading pop-up, but no further notification or file. General other thoughts: File management is a pain. Would help to at least be able to rename outputs (music). Get too many results with similar names just arbitrarily assigned. Also should be able to set a default quality for downloading from app. Another annoyance: I had made a custom voice I liked , but ran out of credits w/o any way of saving result or buying credits.

Good app honestly. But I have complaints. 1st: when I want to use text to speech and select my voice, it simply won't let me change the pitch, speed or anything else. ElevenLabs, please fix this, it would be great if it would. Other than that, the app works smoothly and the features are amazing. It definitely has a lot of potential.

Decent to an extent

I guess this app is great if you have the emotional capacity of a toddler, the second you use their audio book creation for anything meant for adults they get very finicky and started censoring you. I’m not a child and I refuse to create stories for toddlers. If you can’t handle more mature themes that are privately saved, just end your service now

ElevenLabs doesn’t sound real

Pros: ElevenLabs allows me to generate synthetic voices rather natural for my content creation. Cons: I hate to have to repeat again and again the generation to avoid the formulation errors, and the credit-management system is useless.

The idea is great but in reality it doesn't deliver. 1. Record your own voice and use the text to speech. Problem is, it changes it. I have a northern accent and using text to speech I suddenly have zero accent and sound very posh. 2. Generating ai video I cannot get more clear with the prompt I use and it ignores it and produces a completely different set of instructions creating an unusable video that cost me money. You ask if theres a possible refund of credits but you just get an ai reply of NO! I'd have no problem with this site if you paid only for what you ask for...but that rarely happens!

Okay it is AMAZING but after a few months of using it it kept asking me for a subscription when I even type a TINY SENTENCE! it’s good but it’s annoying.

So, I've had a project planned to fully use ElevenLabs, but it didn't withstand my testing phase. You can get some incredible results. I've been testing it with v3 for calming narration. The main issue is the voice inconsistency - no matter how incredible this tech is, it often fails. I've wasted a lot of credits for unusable results. The AI switching accents is a thing and ruins it all.

They don't care about their customers. I was using one of their legacy default voices - "Josh" for almost a year as part of an ongoing project i had. They decided to delete the voice along with many other default voices for no technical reasons. I kept begging them, asking them to bring the voice back. They told me that there were new voices that had replaced the ones they deleted but the new voices were different voices and were not a substitute. After weeks of asking them constantly and explaining to them i needed that voice for a project, I had no choice but to abandon my project. I tried to clone the voice too but they have changed the verification protocols and you can only now clone your own voice.

So I used to love this app. I use it on my iPad all the time and I still have that same exact except… the apps kind of freaked me out. I’m not trying to be mean but recently whenever I try or whatever I type up something for the AI voice to say it just says it’s not static or anything but like it makes weird noises like it’s trying to say something or what I typed up but it can’t for some reason it’s just saying like weird noises. I can’t really explain them with the text, but this is kind of what they sound like and how I can describe them so sometimes they go like”o ah o” now that’s the only way I can describe how they sound with text but yeah it’s kind of scary so I might delete the app, but if it hasn’t been doing that on your phone, I highly recommend it but if it starts doing that maybe write a review like me so that the developers could try to fix it but overall this app is pretty good!😊 only reason why I’m giving it a two star rating is because it’s making those weird noises on my iPad😅

I loved the voice for the app but I hate that you only have limited uses for text to speech! some people don't have 22 whole dollars for the subscription or however much it costs! honestly if they were fixed it would be a 5 star but now I can't even make videos because of this! and some people have to use this for their jobs as content creators it's just so annoying that you have to pay to be able to use text to speech more than the uses they give you

Eleven labs is great for making videos. But you run out of credits very fast. And I don’t want to pay no money just a voice when I can use my own.

I subscribed to ElevenLabs’ Pro plan specifically to create long-form narration for my audiobook, but the quality has been deeply disappointing. The biggest issue is that generated speech randomly changes speed within the same piece of text. Sections suddenly become faster or slower for no apparent reason, which makes the output unusable for professional narration. I spent an entire day changing settings, testing different voices, regenerating clips, and following support guidance, but the problem continued. What makes this worse is that every failed attempt consumes paid credits. I ended up using a significant amount of credit simply trying to troubleshoot inconsistent output rather than producing anything usable. I had been paying for the Pro plan for months and, despite the cost, I have not produced a single finished clip that I would consider suitable for my book. For a platform marketed as capable of high-quality, professional text-to-speech, I expected far greater consistency and reliability, especially for long-form content. 1 star.

Terrible Customer Support and Unstable APIs – Waste of Time and Money!

subscribed to ElevenLabs with high hopes for my automated digital media network project, but it turned out to be a complete disappointment. The voice generation and APIs might look fancy on the surface, but their customer support is virtually non-existent—basically zero. Whenever you face a critical bug, billing issue, or credit failure, their automated system or support agents simply give you the runaround and tell you to raise a ticket, which leads nowhere. No real human assistance, no resolution, and absolute disregard for paying customers. Because of their persistent API instability and unresponsive support, my major project suffered severe delays. Do yourself a favor and save your money; look for more reliable, customer-friendly AI alternatives. Highly regret investing my time and resources here.

ElevenLabs sneaky refund policy

I subscribed to ElevenLabs specifically to use its voice cloning service. After testing it, I found that the product was not good enough to be used as advertised for my intended purpose. The cloned voice was unable to reliably follow pacing and timing instructions, which made it unusable for the type of controlled voice generation I needed. This was not a minor preference issue or a case of simply disliking the result. The service failed to perform one of the functions I reasonably expected from the way the product is presented and marketed. I requested a refund only four days after purchasing the service. ElevenLabs initially refused the refund because I had used some of the features. That position made very little sense to me because it is impossible to determine whether a voice cloning service works properly without actually testing it. I then challenged the refusal by referring directly to their own refund policy and to my rights as an EU consumer. Once I clearly pointed out the applicable terms and their own policy, ElevenLabs reversed its position and issued the refund. My concern is therefore about two separate issues. First, the voice cloning product did not perform adequately and could not be used as advertised for my use case. Second, the initial handling of the refund request was unacceptable. I should not have had to research their own terms and consumer protections in order to obtain a refund that they ultimately agreed to provide. To be fair, ElevenLabs did eventually refund me, and I think that should be mentioned. However, future customers should be aware that testing the product may be necessary to discover its limitations, and that anyone purchasing from the EU should carefully read the refund policy and keep records of all communication with customer support. Based on my experience, I would not recommend the service.

i have waited 5 days and made multiple request tickets because 11labs say i never paid. so i cant use my voice app at all. I isent my invoice twice, emailed a number of times, absolutely no response. Just aewful. I am going to use another company.

I kept my paid subscription active for MONTHS while barely using the service specifically because I wanted to accumulate my credits and use them later for my business in Q4. I paid month after month, accumulated around 100,000 credits, and then discovered that those credits were gone. After days of going back and forth with support, the 100,000 credits were eventually added back to my account, but ElevenLabs classified them as “courtesy credits” with a short expiration period. COURTESY CREDITS?! I did not ask ElevenLabs for 100,000 free credits or some goodwill gift. These represented the credits I had accumulated while PAYING for my subscription month after month. I repeatedly explained that I specifically need these credits for my business in Q4 and that there is absolutely no realistic way for me to use 100,000 credits within such a short period. I dealt with Fabio from support throughout this situation, and instead of trying to understand the actual problem and find a reasonable solution, I kept receiving repetitive, generic replies explaining why nothing could be done. I proposed multiple reasonable solutions: extend the expiration until the end of October, preserve the credits while I keep my paid subscription active, or reissue the equivalent amount when I actually need them in October. Everything was rejected. 30 days wasted going back and forth, with no actual solution. From my perspective as a paying customer, paying for months specifically to accumulate credits, then seeing those credits disappear and having the replacement treated as temporary “courtesy credits” that expire before I can realistically use them feels like a robbery. Extremely frustrating, unhelpful, and disappointing customer service!!! I genuinely expected much better from ElevenLabs 👎

Canceled, access removed, no refund

I canceled my membership just before the free trial ended, the day they listed as the last day to cancel before being charged. I was charged anyway, after canceling. I lost my access to the app, because I canceled. I was kept in this loop of not being able to be refunded by Apple or Eleven Labs. Both, Apple & Eleven Labs just kept pointing the finger back at each other saying neither was eligible to refund and I must take it up with the other. Just a whole mess & no help. Eleven Labs just kept asking for photos of my receipt, I had to send it 3 times before they kept hitting me with the process to reach out to Apple, as if it’s my first day with an iPhone.

I’ve been using Eleven labs for a long time, and there’s no doubt it’s one of the best AI voice tools. But the biggest problem is the excessive breathing while the AI speaks. It was less noticeable before, but after the recent update, it has become much worse. I use Eleven labs for a professional voice, but if the AI is going to breathe this much, I might as well speak and record it myself—then why use AI? Please fix this issue and add a voice boost option for louder audio.

They only supplied 5000 characters on the plan, which was useless for a narrator book-to-MP3. The voices were ok but sped up at points, and in the end i used Speechify, which was much better for what I needed. I ended up using up a lot of points testing this and many hours of work and gave up exhausted. Cancelled on 12th September and have no intention of ever using it again

This app is AWFUL

I was trying to use the text to speech feature, but then it said unusual activity detected. It said I was using a VPN or proxy or made multiple free accounts, which I didn’t. It said I had to upgrade to a paid plan I didn’t want to because I hadn’t done the VPN or proxy thing. This app is completely ridiculous for not letting me generate for something I didn’t do. This app sucks. I really liked it. I really wanted to use it more but now I’m never using this terrible app again. Fix the problem, or else you’re just terrible people.

Randomly takes away free voices

I only used this app for the Rumi text to speech voice and they just made it premium only for no reason, i have basically no use for this app now because none of the other voices have the same vibe as Rumi. Why do you just randomly take free voices and make people pay to use them? i don't want to use this app at all anymore.

Do not waste your money

I bought this platform because the AI lied to me and deliberately misrepresented what was included in the plan. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, but after using it, I realized it doesn't work as advertised. It has bugs where simply regenerating the audio fixes the issue—forcing you to waste tokens and credits without making any changes. It feels like the service is designed to drain your credits before giving you acceptable quality. I've used local alternatives, and this never happens. A terrible service in every way. Don't waste your money on this app; it tricks and misleads its users.

Scary Robot Voice

I got this app a couple months ago and it worked fine! But recently every time I try to generate a voice for my video it gives me the creepy robot voice and it’s like weeping. I keep trying to fix it and it doesn’t work. I’m freaked out in my room at 2 am help

I changed to another brand

I changed, the idea is good but I can't be contacting support every month because they decide my content is suspicious. I only read newsletters that I pay for. I am not a monthly subscriber but I used to buy extra hours now and them, now the app says it has detected a suspicious activity and therefore I have to subscribe to get the service, I cannot even use my paid hours... How convenient!

Their voices are inconsistent. So every time they update the software, the tone of your voice will change and the speed at which your voice speaks will slow down drastically. If you want to use this software to make videos, you will be deeply irritated from time to time.

Doesn’t support on the Dynamic Island

When I use ElevenLabs to play my own AI-generated music, the playback stops immediately in the background after I switch to another app, and it doesn't support continuing on the Dynamic Island where Suno does. Sucks！

Lots of glitches if you are using the Ai text to speech tool. This system is quite complex and the consistency varies. You really need to spend some time fathoming out the process - NOT EASY!

Does not work well

The plan is for monthly use but it uses credits, which get consumed in one day trying to generate a simple video. The app keeps generating garbage so you end up with no video and no credits.

I tried recording my voice and it gave me everything but an American accent. All of the recordings sounded flat and robotic. Had I been able to do a sample I never would have subscribed to this. I have already canceled my subscription. It's a waste of money and time.

It’s a great app, but there’s a problem.

This has amazing voices! I love how they sound and it’s really cool. But there is a problem, maybe it’s just for me though. Apparently, there was “unusual” activity even though I’ve used it only a few times and only generated stuff at least 3 or more times for a rant video. Now my free tier access is revoked. I need help about this. I don’t have any idea if someone is on my account or this is just a problem.

Find a way to design folder organizer, so The user can create folders and store and organize the creations As you know I am very happy with the app, but: What's the meaning of using 110,000 credits for a month. wouldn't it be wiser after consuming them, buying new ones, and not every month?! it is like buying shoes but being forced to return them without even wearing them. and next month havinh to buy them again.

Extremely disappointed

Extremely disappointed. I paid 11$ and i made a video to check how this tool works. 33% limit hit out of nowhere from 1 video. I asked them to refund my amount, and they kept saying that I had used 33% of the account limit, and i told them in detail that i made 1 video to check. They told me that they would give me more credits instead of a refund; I agreed. But in reality, nothing happened. I kept asking for credits, and they just dragged me the whole month, and eventually my subscription expired. They never refunded nor gave me the credits, and on top of that, kept lying. I did not use their tool, and 11$ just lost. Basically, they scammed me in the name of AI.

Excellent product. Horrible customer service and too many errors not letting me sign in to my paid account, keeping me from accessing my work with a repeat cycle of sign in and confirmation errors that it is making and that it does not correct, not following up on previous issues, corrupting other things with my account, giving wrong info on how to add credits, etc. i must be able to access my account which I am trying to do correctly. it is locking me out and not correcting its own errors after i confirmed my account info many times as requested.

Total scam subscription handling. I took a 3 day trial. On day 2 decided it wasn't for me and tried to downgrade. The dark UX patterns trick you into thinking you're not going to be charged and that you're on the free tier, but then you're charged an annual subscription on day 4. When I contacted them twice by email to refund me they've not responded. Shame on you. Where's my £92!

Pay Trap: I get that you need to make money, but you can't let me even begin to enjoy the app!? Pro tip: let me get some actual usage, and depend on the app so I'll find it to be an absolute need. Slapping me with a pay wall to even use the very first clip I generate will get you uninstalled. I lived without you this far, and you had a chance to become an indispensable part of my creative toolkit, but you failed. Free sample = no good if I can't enjoy the flavor before being punched by a 💰👊.

Dishonest

Tried to use the initial free offering of 10,000 credits, but they prevent access claiming that the IP is being used for multiple requests. I have attempted to use from two differant IPs, including a home location and they have shut down access to the free credits on each occasion.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

This company has continuously taken money from my account despite me canceling this service in MARCH!!! I have sent email after email with no response. I talk to their AI customer service and they ensure me that someone will get back to me and no one ever has. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
